Does your Windows Start Bar get in
the way of the action buttons on the bottom of your AutoCAD screen?
Can't pick the ORTHO button easily because of it?
Most people have the original location
for their Windows Start Bar at the bottom of the screen and visible all the
time. If you right-click on a blank area of the bar, where an open
file would appear, and choose Properties from the list, a dialogue box
appears. Check the "Auto Hide" option and then finish with the OK
button. You will now have the Start Bar hidden from view until you
move your cursor below the bottom of the screen. The Start Bar will
appear as long as you hold the pointer in that area and disappear when you
move it away.
Another solution would be for those
who use AutoCAD a lot of the time. Left-click and hold in the same
area where you found the access to the Properties settings and drag the Bar
to the left or right side of your screen.
The left side is usually best for
double duty with AutoCAD and programs that have scroll bars on the right
side. That way the Bar doesn't pop-up every time you try to scroll
through a Word document or a web page. |
