The drawing tools are located at the bottom of the application window, just to the right of the status bar. Most folks are accustom to seeing text in boxes to label the actions associated to the buttons. The new format is a simple graphic instead of the text of old.

This is definitely a learning curve for both size and recognition. To see these buttons as text, just like older versions of AutoCAD, right-click on one of them and un-check Use Icons.

Be sure to at least give the new icons a go, you may just like your screen to be a little less cluttered with text.
