Most users are fairly generic in the way they name files, so when you need a specific drawing it is sometimes very helpful to have a visual reference to go by. Here's a few tips on using the thumbnail option in file dialogue boxes.
Open the Select File dialogue box in AutoCAD. In the top right corner of the dialogue box expand the Views cascade and select Thumbnails. You can now preview the drawings with the view that the file was last saved with.
Another way to see the thumbnails of saved drawings is to open a Windows Explorer window and under the View menu select Thumbnails in a folder with drawings. |
