Very few AutoCAD interface elements interfere with day to day drawing, but one interface feature is very annoying.
The offending feature is the Dynamic Input capability. If you have the DYN button depressed at the bottom of the application window there are several new interface elements that will occur.
1 - The command line will appear at your cursor
2 - The X, Y pointer position coordinates will display as a floating piece of dynamic text
3 - The dimension of what you are creating will also become a floating piece of dynamic text
4 - Several geometric graphical representations of the geometry being created will appear.
These elements, although seemingly convenient, become such a distraction to working with a kaleidoscope of visual bursts, that most people turn these displays off, forever.
The DYNMODE system variable can also be set to several levels of visual display for the various visual elements, the most noteworthy of them is 0 (zero) , for off. |
