Tip 04/20/09
Tip for Week 4/20/09

This week's tip is very short and simple.

I've been asked many times if there is a way to open AutoCAD without having the template file open so that you won't have to close this unused drawing every time you exit AutoCAD?

Answer is yes!  Open the one AutoCAD file you want to work with from a Windows Explorer window.  All the AutoCAD files and icons will have AutoCAD open them by double-clicking.

You could also save your file to the desktop as an icon and double-click to open only that one file.  I've seen users store there working folder on the desktop and open that folder to open the file in AutoCAD also.
