Tip for Week 3/30/09

There are several ways to create a new layout tab for a page setup.  One method is to use the Page Setup Manager, while another is to go directly to the Plot dialogue box and use the Apply to layout button.  This week I'll show you one more.

Under the Insert menu pull-down, expand the Layout cascade and choose the Create Layout Wizard listing.  Another way to start this wizard is to type LAYOUTWIZARD at the command line.  The dialogue box wizard is very straight forward and you can choose most items from a list.  Best of all, you set up the tab, insert a title block, and make the viewports, all in one tool!

Give it a try, you'll be surprised how efficient the wizard becomes once you are familiar with the prompts.
