Tip for Week 3/16/09

AutoCAD has a great set of export and save as options that can be used to save your file to another format.  One great export option is the SAVEIMG command.  This dialogue based command will let you save the current display in a high resolution BMP, TGA, or TIFF format.  These formats create files that are much larger in size than, say a JPG file, but these larger files are perfect for your graphics department to produce high quality graphic outputs.

From the Tools menu pull-down, expand the Display Image listing and pick the Save item.  This will open the Save Image dialogue box with all the options needed for a high quality raster image of the current display.
