Tip for Week 3/2/09

The DIVIDE and MEASURE commands will place equally spaced points along an object or polyline  path.  The points may not show up if the PDMODE variable is set to (1).  A variable setting of (3) will change the points into an "X" shape, which makes them much easier to see for snapping.

Another command for setting the PDMODE is the DDPTYPE command.  This command uses a dialogue box to visually show you the shape and size of points in the current file.  Open the dialogue box and pick the "X" shape from the top row and a final click on the OK button to apply the new setting.
