Everyone learns about the command and usually leaves it visible for most of their career. Here's a nice way to access to the command line and gain the valuable screen real estate that it takes up.
When the command line is docked, double click on the two vertical lines to the left of the actual text window to convert the docked object into a floating palette. Right-click on the grey vertical header to see the options for this command line palette. Choose Auto-hide from the list to minimize the command area. Now, whenever you need to see the command line, just move your mouse cursor over the vertical header to expand it.
If this doesn't appeal to your liking, double-click on the vertical header to permanently dock the command line back to it's original layout. |
