This week you'll learn a few more ways to close AutoCAD completely, only the current drawing, or any other Windows program with just a simple-double click.
The first method is to double-click on the AutoCAD icon in the top left corner of the application window. This is the icon to the left of where it says Autodesk Map 3D. This double-click action will close all open drawings and the application window. If you miss the icon and double-click on the header, the window will restore or maximize, whichever is the opposite state the window currently resides in.
The second way to close with a double-click is to use the icon just to the left of the File menu pull-down. This icon has the same pop-up menu as the top icon, except a Next listing is available to switch between open drawings. Double-clicking on this icon will close the current drawing only. This position is very useful because you are naturally going to this area for file management anyway. |
