Do you always have to close the Display Manager every time you start the Map version of AutoCAD? Here is why the Postal Service uses this version of AutoCAD, with the Display Manager, and how to easily suppress it.
We use Autodesk Map 3D 2006 in the Postal Service to accommodate mapping, drafting, facility management, affinity analysis, transport work analysis, plant design, and a host of other tasks and duties. Most users do not need the Mapping section of the software and therefore should set the Display Manager to stay minimized each time you use the software.
To keep the Display Manager suppressed follow these easy steps;
- Open the Map options dialogue box by typing MAPOPTIONS at the command line.
- Set the Task Pane tab to be current
- Uncheck these two checkboxes at the bottom of the list
- Show Task Pane on startup
- Show Display Manager on startup
- Pick the OK button to close
- Manually close the Display Manager
- Re-start AutoCAD
No more Display Manager on startup. Done deal! |
