Let's start the new year with a tip for starting new drawings.
Create a drawing file that has your classic settings for layers, titleblock, printing, Osnaps or anything else you use on a daily basis. Use the SaveAs dialogue box to save the file as a DWT extension file.
Open the Options dialogue box by right-clicking on the command line window and selecting the last listing, Options. In the Files tab, expand the listing for "Template Settings". Expand the "Default Template Name for Qnew" and select the listing below the title. Pick the Browse button at the top right corner of the dialogue box and select the template you created previously. Pick the Open button to close the "Select file" box and a final pick of the OK button in the Options dialogue box to close it and save your setting for the Qnew command.
Now anytime you want to start a new drawing, simply use the Qnew command and your Osnaps, layers and other settings will be ready, just the way you like it. |
