Tip for Week 9/25/06

Those users who use the NOTE command in PostalCAD 2006 may have a problem setting the text height if you don't remember that this command will determine the text height for you.

Type in SAS at the command line to set the global scaling for your drawing.  The DIMSCALE variable is one of the settings changed with this utility and that variable is what the NOTE command will use to scale up text that is typically 3/32".

Example: Set SAS to 1/8"=1' and the DIMSCALE will be set to 96.  The NOTE command will now scale the default 3/32" text height up 96 times to be 9" tall.
