Sometimes when you are hatching areas of a drawing the hatch winds up being on top of the line work.  This phenomena is know as the draw order.  The fix is really easy now with 2005 products.  Simply highlight the objects that you want to change the draw order for and right-click.  There is a listing for draw order.  Choose your weapon and fire!

Under the Tools pull-down menu, you will find the same listing as the right-click set plus another feature for dealing with text and dimensions.  These text and dimension options are global for your entire drawing.  Fire at will, or at least, as needed.
