Neosys® Corporation in conjunction with the United States Postal Service, has released PostalCAD 2009, the software application designed specifically for Postal facility layout, design and documentation.
A US Postal Service contractor and an Autodesk authorized developer, Neosys develops the PostalCAD program and provides support services for Postal users nationwide.
The Operations Industrial Engineering Division
of the United States Postal Service makes this software available to qualified Postal personnel.

PostalCAD 2009 features a new interface integrating the PostalCAD software directly into the AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 workspace. This exciting application layout streamlines your work process and enhances your ability for easily and intuitively creating, documenting, and analyze your facility drawings.
PostalCAD 2009 introduces a new 2007 file format which will become the standard file format for workroom floor drawings throughout the US Postal Service. |

The new ribbon format for PostalCAD 2009 is visually compatible with Microsoft Office 2007 application interfaces. Tools and utilities are now organized into heading tabs with sub-panels of tools inside each tab. Drawing and editing tools are located in the same easy to navigate places resulting in a more intuitive use of the application. |

Legacy commands and tools remain active and the keyboard shortcuts that many users have learned over the years are still valid to make the transition as smooth as possible.
The most important step in using PostalCAD 2009 is understanding the new ribbon format. The ribbon displays both new and existing PostalCAD commands replacing the pull-down menu format. in addition to the existing tools from earlier releases. After learning this new method for accessing PostalCAD, your workflow time is reduced and you will become more productive. |
