Tutorial files can be very frustrating
to work with if you have a tutorial file and PostalCAD open at the same
time. You need to flip back and forth between the two windows to read
the exercise and work in PostalCAD.
To make learning a little easier, try this layout of the
application windows. With both windows open, change the application
window size to "restore down" rather than "maximized". Make PostalCAD
almost maximized with a half inch or so of desktop showing on the left side
of your screen. In the tutorial window, make the application a half
inch down from the top of the desktop and a little less then midway on the
screen at the bottom. This arrangement makes the top two left-hand
corners at a diagonal to each other. You can now switch from one
application to the other using the mouse to click on the separate headers
with ease. Having the tutorial only halfway down the desktop, you can
still see a good portion of the file in PostalCAD under the current window.
You may have to make the tutorial a
little smaller to see the exercise well, but the layout gives you more
visual continuity than switching back and forth without seeing the other
application.
