An alternative way to close your
instance of AutoCAD is to double-click on the AutoCAD icon in the top left
corner of your application window. It may be an extra click, but it
will keep your Start Bar from popping up if you have auto-hide activated and
the bar is in a vertical, right placement.
This trick will also work to close any
other Windows based application.
