Tip for Week 5/7/07

So how does AutoCAD determine the area you can pan to using the scroll bars?

It's the extents of the objects in relation to the your model tab application window.  Zoom to the extents of the objects and there is no panning available, if the objects are at the edge of the screen.  If the objects don't touch the edge of the screen in one direction or the other, after the zoom extents, you can pan so that the objects can touch the edge of the screen, but go no further.

If you have a scroll wheel mouse, the scroll bars are not needed anymore.  Real time pan is available by holding down the scroll wheel and moving the mouse.  You can suppress the scroll bars in the Display tab of the Options dialogue box if needed.
