Tip for Week 4/2/07

Have you ever had certain elements in your drawing not highlight even though the HIGHLIGHT variable is on?  This scenario would usually effect certain lines within your drawing.

The solution is typically very simple.  Check to see what the LTSCALE is set to.  If your setting is 1, try setting it to 96 or 192.  PostalCAD users will use the Set Architectural Scale utility, SAS, to set the LTSCALE to one of these higher numbers.

Most line types are based on very small segments and gaps, so when you are zoomed out and can't see the line type, because of a low LTSCALE setting, the small segments are highlighting very small segments, but you can't see these small highlighted entities.  Once the LTSCALE setting is high enough, you will be able to see the highlighting.
