Most people just leave the default
line weight for all of their layers. What if you want to change that
default line weight? Where do you change that setting?
Well it's the old Options dialogue box
of course! The User Preferences tab in the Options dialogue box has a
Line weight Settings button at the bottom. Click this button to see
the default line weight. Typically it is set to 0.25mm. Just
pull down the list and choose a wider or thinner width. Now all of your
lines will print to this width if the line weight properties of all objects
is set to ByLayer.
