Tip for Week 2/19/07

This week's tip is to use the block insertion option for cells within an AutoCAD table object.

Select an existing cell of a table object by left clicking on it once. Now, right-click and choose insert Block from the popup list.  Choose a block that already exists in your drawing from the pull-down list or choose one from the browse button dialogue box.  The cell alignment properties might need to be Middle Center depending on your visual needs for the project and AutoFit will make the block scaled to fit the border of the cell.

This block option is great for making an index of the typical symbols that you place into a drawing.
