Everyone knows about the Erase command
and the Erase Out PostalCAD command, but this week we'll show you another
set of methods for deleting objects.
The Delete key can be used for deleting objects after
they are selected. A simple trick is to hold down the delete key,
before selecting objects, and pick at the objects that you want to delete.
Pick as many as you like, as long as the delete key is held down.
Suppose that you have deleted
several objects, by mistake, and then you want to return those objects back
into the drawing. Using the Undo command will return them, but
anything else that was done to your drawing will be undone also. The
trick here is to use the Windows clipboard as a temporary Recycle Bin for
objects. Use CTRL+X to cut objects from your drawing to the clipboard.
If you need to return those items to your drawing, use the Paste to original
coordinates listing from the Edit menu, or simply use the CTRL+V
keyboard option to paste them back in.
