Tip for Week 2/13/06

Many users have not noticed the new MAXIMIZE VIEWPORT button that appears at the bottom of your screen when switching to any layout tab.  This button, that looks like a piece of paper with an arrow pointing away from the top left corner, will quickly replicate your viewport in the model space tab.  Once you are in the model space tab the icon changes to show the arrow pointing in to the piece of paper.  The button will now take you back to the original layout tab that the original view resides in.

A quick tip is to double click on a viewport in the layout tab to maximize it in the model space tab.  Be careful not to double-click inside the viewport, this will only put you in model space mode of the viewport.  Once you are in the model space tab you can double-click anywhere  outside of the red border to return back to the original viewport.  This is a little bit easier than pointing to the small button at the bottom all the time.
