Tool palettes, what are those good
for? Tool palettes can
be customized very, very easily, just like toolbars can. A
simple suggestion is to drag and drop your favorite PostalCAD tools directly
from any PostalCAD toolbar when in the customize mode. A really nice
feature of the tool palettes is that you can also drag and drop any object,
yes, any object from your drawing and create a tool for it.
Make sure you create your own
palette first, before continuing with the following suggestion.
Open the tool palette by pressing
CTRL+3. Right click on the open tool palette box, picking "new
palette" and then name it for yourself. Now, draw a circle and
highlight the grips of that circle, left click and hold the circle, drag to
the new palette, and you now have the circle command on the palette!
This works with blocks also. Play around for a couple of minutes to
see all the wonderful things that can be dragged to a palette. I could
go on for an eternity about all the fun things to do with tool palettes, but
I'll start with these basics.
Look forward to more tips and
tricks for tool palettes in the coming weeks!
