I try to snap a line segment to a
circle using the quadrant snap, but the snap markers jump to the wrong
places on the circle! How can this be?
Yes, you can try to use the quadrant
snap and receive a "tilted axis" for the quadrant snaps by putting a circle
into a block definition and then rotating that definition. It works
with arc segments as well.
Using the REFEDIT command to rotate
the object back to the logical position will not solve the problem.
The REFEDIT command will honor the typical quadrant snap location while
editing, and then return the original "tilted axis" back to the definition
after exiting the command. Even if you rotate the object to a new
position the original position of the "tilted axis" remains! This
situation could make the problem more complicated!
Be careful of these situations, the
circle in a rotated block may only be rotated a small amount, leading you to
believe the quadrant snap is in it's typical position.
