There is so much clutter on my screen,
how can I get more real estate in the drawing area?
First and foremost, create several
profiles for your workspace setups. This is the best way to quickly
toggle on and off toolbars as needed for the current tasks. A setup
for dimensioning, 3D, or just 2D drafting are just a few suggestions. Don't
forget that the Properties dialogue box is a toggle! I can't tell you
how many times I've seen users leave this huge box open all the time.
Use CTRL+1 to toggle on and off as needed.
Another very simple solution to
freeing up some drawing space or presentation space, is to use the
accelerator key combo of CTRL+0 (zero). This accelerator remembers
which toolbars and where those toolbars were before they are dismissed.
Using the CTRL+0 afterward will return your screen to it's original look.
Great for showing someone your great drawings!
