If a user of AutoCAD 2005 highlights a
viewport in one of the layout tabs and then right-clicks, an abundant array
of choices appears in the pop-up list.
The first listing is "Maximize
Viewport" which when chosen will zap the user from the layout tab into a
model space view replicating the same viewpoint and magnification as the
viewport. A very small icon to the right of your paper/model button at
the bottom of your screen will change to have the arrow point down and to
the right. This button, when depressed, will return you to your layout
tab of the original viewport. This toggle works whether or not the
viewport is locked.
Don't just stop at the top listing,
use the lock viewport and several other listing several times to imprint
them in your memory for future use.
