Great, I just changed all my layer
colors to grey for a fire evacuation route drawing and forgot to change the
layers back before closing. What's the easiest way of getting my
colors back? The
longhand fix is to open the layers box and click away. This would
probably take forever! Another option is to use the PostalCAD Make
Layer utility, select all the layers, and then purge all the unused layers
immediately afterwards. I do mean immediately! You could also
pick the individual layers that you need to update, while holding down the
control key, in this utility. As long as your layer names are the same
as the ones in the PostalCAD utility, you will not have any problems.
Another clever way to repair your
layer color damage is to open the PostalCAD standards drawing and save the
layer state, export it, and then import it into the all grey drawing.
Your colors will return without waiting or purging. Again, the key
here is that the layer names are the same in both drawings.
Happy layering!
