Where did the keyboard shortcut
underlines in those pull down menu's go?
Well, they are still there if you hit the Alt key once!
I believe the classic visual cues for the Alt+(Shortcut key) have been
hidden for aesthetic reasons. Many users who have customized menu's
use the underlining to aid in shortcutting the process for menu selection.
This process probably has a history of programmers needing a way to close a
program if the mouse stopped working! Hitting the Alt key a second
time will hide the underlining.
Don't dismiss these keyboard
shortcuts! The Alt key is on both sides of the space bar for a reason.
Try using the menu pull downs using only the keyboard. If there is no
underlining, the first letter of each listing is accessible by simply
hitting the corresponding letter key.
Sometimes it's just trying
something new that will make your life a whole lot easier.
