Alignment tool? Is that for
making sure your going straight on the AutoCAD highway? Maybe your CAD
tires will wear more evenly. Unfortunately there is no steering
mechanism in AutoCAD, but I'm still trying to figure out how to use a
joystick to manipulate my objects!
Of course the command is for
aligning one object to another. You could also scale the object by
reference after picking two or more points to align. It can be a
secret way to move and rotate an object at the same time. The command
operates very straight forward, pick a start point and then a point to align
the first pick to. Continue picking points for alignment as needed.
3D users will love the fact that this tool works on multiple points of a 3D
object also. Align away, it's actually an excellent tool for everyday
drafting or for 3D work. Don't forget to add this tool to your custom
toolbar if you use it a lot.
