After opening the utility and highlighting a layer,
double click in the gray area below the layer listings on the left.
You will then see some text that says "Layer
Code: #XXX" or something similar. This Layer
Code is how the PostalCAD Library Manager determines which layer blocks are
to be inserted on. By opening a standard
PostalCAD block from any of the AS504 directories
and issuing the Drawing Properties utility under the file menu pulldown, you
can find where this information is stored. Make
the Custom tab current and notice the first row of information.
Layer is listed on the left and the super
secret special code is on the right. If you
would like to have your blocks inserted on a certain layer when using the
Library Manager, match the name on the left and look up the code for the
layer value on the right. Your block will always be
on the correct layer as long as you use the Layer Manager dialogue box to
insert it. |
