Tip for Week 3/17/03

So you have
created a QLeader with some MTEXT and need to add multiple leaders from the same origin point next to the text to multiple areas in your drawing. There is no option in the AutoCAD MTEXT options for this one, but there is an answer as to how you can do that easily. Let's sing along with the following lines to produce a few multiple QLeaders.

1.  Zoom into your drawing to show only the existing QLeader and the area where the extra leaders will be arrayed.
2.  Highlight the Qleader next to your MTEXT and click on the grip at the end of the arrowhead to make it hot.
3.  At the Specify stretch point or [Base point/Copy/Undo/eXit]: prompt enter C for Copy.
4.  Begin placing as many new leaders as needed with the left mouse button.
5.  Enter ESC to clear the grips.

PostalCAD users can simply use the Multi Leader Command from your cascading Annotation menu under the main PCAD menu.
