Tip for Week 3/3/03

Now where did I leave that toolbar?  Oh yea, there it is.  This may be a scenario that you may not think you need to know about, but when you do, it's invaluable.  Maybe you just got that new monitor or someone else decided to change the monitors resolution and poof, no toolbar.  So, should one or more of your toolbars disappear from the screen follow the steps below to find that toolbar.

1.  Check the Toolbar dialogue box to be certain that the toolbar in question is checked to be visible.
2.  If the toolbar is checked and still cannot be seen enter -TOOLBAR at the command line.
3.  At the Enter toolbar name or [ALL]: prompt enter the name of your missing toolbar.
4.  At the Enter an option [Show/Hide/Left/Right/Top/Bottom/Float] <Show>: prompt enter F for the Float option.
5.  At the Enter new position (screen coordinates) <0,0>: prompt enter 100,300.
6.  At the Enter number of rows for toolbar <1> prompt enter 1.

Your missing toolbar should now be visible 100 pixels to the right and 300 pixels down from the upper left corner of your screen.  Repeat as needed for any other missing toolbars.
