AutoCAD 2006 3D Modeling

The goal of the AutoCAD 2006 3D Modeling course is to teach students how to create a 3D Postal facility.  The course focuses on 3D viewing techniques, the creation and editing of AutoCAD solids and rendering.  The course also covers the use of external references, paperspace layouts and plotting, the use of 3D symbols and concepts of animation.  The course will cover the following topics:

Four day course featuring:

  • PostalCAD 2006 Overview
  • Viewing in 3D
  • User Coordinate Systems (UCS)

  • The Wblock command and External References

  • AutoCAD Surfaces

  • Creating Basic Solids

  • Extrusion

  • Boolean Operations (Subtraction, Union and Intersection)

  • Rendering including Surfaces, Texture Mapping and Lighting

  • Overview of Animation

Prerequisite:
Completion of the PostalCAD (53201-28) or AutoCAD  course (53201-23).  WAIVERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
